Goodbye Boganville! A short review of BB08

I'll make my end-of-series review a lot shorter this time by comparison to my mid series one. In summary, BB was crap! Each year I rate the series on a scale from best ever down to above average, then good, poor and worst ever at the bottom. With very few positives in this series to mention, my only conclusion is that it was the worst series ever. This is based on the bad casting, poor ratings, and lack of creativity from producers with the tasks and secret missions and the low overall entertainment value.
One claim in the pre-series pack of lies in the promos was that if we thought we'd seen it all before then think again. This was true because we'd never seen a series so bad. My main gripe this year and in recent years, apart from the bad casting (mostly bogans and immature children), is the culture of lying to viewers that has been developed on a bigger scale since around 2005. This is something that needs to stop in any future series on another TV station. It's insulting to everyone's intelligence and just like the Liberal party, BB has been voted out because it became too greedy, manipulative and plain corrupt. The lies this year didn't fool anyone and the predictable casting was the show's biggest downfall from the start. It just shows how completely out of touch the producers are.
BB08 could've been saved quite easily but laziness got in the way (the producers were asleep at the wheel last year and didn't seem to wake up this year). No one (except the suckholes at a slam site) believed the empty promises of the weak pre-series promo campaign and when people saw Terri, Travis and Rima in the week leading up to the start of BB08 many decided not to watch. Combine that with the change of hosts, and then throughout the series the lack of appropriate creativity from producers, the celebrities the public weren't interested in (but I didn't mind) and the severe lack of media attention (which is partly how these types of shows survive) and it's a recipe for disaster. It was a typical mediocre ESS production.
It's time to move this show to Sydney and for Nine to buy the licensing and produce it in-house like CBS does (I don't want ESS to have anything to do with it anymore because they're amateurs). Like I said in "Welcome to Boganville!" it's time to leave Boganville behind after all these years and seek out greener pastures in the big smoke. Personally, I'd like to see BB moved to Sydney and for it to run for a month on Nine during early January to early February each year (and maybe a short series during the winter as well). But as for this year's series, it was just cringeworthy.
BB08? I don't think so!
